Flickr has confirmed that they have removed photos of Egyptian State Security police. Hossam Arabawy posted the photos, but flickr removed them due to what they call copyright violations.

It appears that it is okay for employees at flickr to post photos that do not belong to them, but not ordinary users. Arabawy did, technically, violate the terms of service, but those terms aren’t always followed. I sense flickr didn’t want to deal with the consequences.
